Obituary For Anthony "Tony" Lawrence Cuccaro
Anthony “Tony” L. Cuccaro 1935 - 2020
Anthony Lawrence “Tony” Cuccaro Jr. entered into heaven 05/11/2020, with his daughter on the phone with him at University Hospital Geneva.
Anthony was born in Pennsylvania on 07/23/1935, the precious son of Anthony Lawrence Cuccaro Sr. and Rose (Tartaglione) Cuccaro.
Anthony moved to Geneva, where he married Marlene Dixon, and together they built a home for their seven children. Toni (Ray) Braat; Janie (Dan) Girdler; Johnny (Danya) Cuccaro; Danny (Monica) Cuccaro; Cindy (Rick) Lawrence and Marianne (Kenny) Sutterfield. He had 24 Grandchildren, 55 Great Grandchildren and two Great Great Grandchildren, his favorite niece Patty Speicher, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Two sisters, Mary Jane Ehrman and Phyllis Black.
Anthony worked at Ohio Water Co for 39 years and he also had his own business Tony’s Trenching Service (“If you want the best…..Call Tony to put your troubles to rest”). Anthony was a very hard worker and he taught his children and grandchildren the tricks to many trades.
He loved all animals, and taught every one of his animals awesome tricks; from cows, horses, chickens, dogs and geese, and Yes, a goose named Lucy, who followed him everywhere he went. His hobbies were singing, old fashion cars, flower gardens and he always planted a large vegetable garden so he could share it with everyone who stopped by our house.
Anthony was not only a father to seven children, he was a father to many and our home was always opened to whomever had a need. He had a wonderful sense of humor, always making us laugh, and where ever he went with his precious little dogs, his goal was to leave a smile on those he encountered.
Tony was preceded by his wife Marlene; Daughter: Debbie; Parents; Brother: Lawrence and Sister Carmelina Marie Taylor
Anthony wore many hats in our lifetime, a loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, friend, and an awesome leader. He wrote on the heart of many and the legacy he left to all of us is THAT FAMILY STICKS TOGETHER NO MATTER WHAT. He taught us how to love and showed us his love.
A “Drive-Thru Visitation” will be held at Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St. Friday, 05/22/2020 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM, where guests will enter through the parking lot and will be directed by staff. The family will receive guests from a safe distance and ask that everyone please remain in your cars, as this is a safe way to pay your respects.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dementia Society of America, PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901
