Arlene H. Hart 1916 - 2020

Arlene H. Hart, 104, passed December 12, 2020 at her home in Austinburg. Born April 16, 1916 to John & Gladys (Potter) Callander in Rome, Ohio. Arlene married Howard Hart November 7, 1936 in Rome, Ohio. They lived in Geneva and moved to Austinburg in 1949. Arlene was the Production Manager for Hart Eggs Inc. She was a member of Bit & Spurs Riding Club. At the Austinburg First United Church of Christ she helped in Sunday School, served as Deaconess and belonged to Women United. She was a member of the Austinburg Grange for many years and she and Howard were honored as “Country Elders” at the Austinburg Country Days Festival. Arlene loved caring for her family and they considered her the best apple pie maker. She enjoyed playing golf and watching professional golf on TV, jigsaw puzzles, card games, especially bridge, and the Cleveland Indians. Arlene and her husband enjoyed spending winters in Florida and their trip to Alaska with the airstream club.

Survivors include her children: John of Austinburg; Kathleen of Jefferson; Robert of Ashtabula and David (Connie) Hart of Geneva; 14 Grandchildren: 31 Great Grandchildren: 5 Great-Great-Grandchildren and her sister Wilma Scoville of Ashtabula.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 77 years Howard; her sister Ida Mae Marrison and her parents;

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
