Obituary For Audrey Joann Baumgarten

Audrey J. Baumgarten, age 79 of Geneva, passed away on Friday June 24, 2022 at her home. She was born on November 19, 1942 in Cleveland and was the daughter of John & Audrey (Burd) Baumgarten. Audrey married Dale Baumgarten on August 25, 1967 in Jefferson and they cherished over 33 years together before his passing in 2001. She had worked as a realtor for Century 21 Wyman Associates and previously for Don Welsh Prudential.

Survivors include her children Todd Baumgarten of Ashtabula, Tim (Diane) Baumgarten of Austinburg, son-in-law Ronnie Kirk, grandchildren Matthew, Brittany, Erica and great-grandchild Emmy.

She was preceded by her husband Dale in 2001, daughter Kelly in 2020, and her parents.

No services are being observed this time.

Arrangements are under the care of Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St. in Geneva.

    My family and I are so saddened by the news of Audrey's passing. She was such a kind person to me and my kids since they were little. I loved spending time drinking coffee with her and listening to her stories. I will think of her often, but mostly when the Iris's bloom in the spring. She gifted me bulbs years ago and it's something I'll always remember. My deepest condolences to her family.

    My heart is so sad for the kids and grands but I know Audrey's in a better place. She fought the good fight for a long time. I'll miss our regular chats that became a bit more limited these last months but I know she'll still be keeping an eye on us from above with one of her best pals, our dear mom!
