Obituary For Barbara Ann Crossley

Barbara A. Crossley (Beeman) of Harpersfield was welcomed to heaven on November 26, 2022 by the Lord and all her loved ones who led the way to heaven before her. Born August 9, 1946 in Cumberland Maryland, Barbara is the eldest daughter of Everett and Julia (Beal) Beeman. Barbara has been a lifelong resident of Geneva and Harpersfield graduating from Geneva High School in 1965.

Barbara spent her life in service to her family and community. She was her happiest when surrounded by family, helping others and painting. She was a Certified Licensed Practical Nurse who served her residents and patients with compassion and devotion. Most recently she was the office manager for Dr. Vincent Cibella until her retirement in 2018. Before working as an office manager, she was the owner of Rivendell Doll Shop in Madison/Harpersfield where she made the most beautiful porcelain dolls and taught porcelain painting. Barbara was a leader of the Vaquero’s 4-H Club for 14 years in the 1980’s. During this time, she also taught baton and formed Cork Cowgirls Baton Corp. Barbara loved family time, especially time with her granddaughter. She also loved cooking and painting. Barbara was a member of the Covered Bridge Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and in 1965 she was Worthy Advisor of the International Order of Rainbow for Girls in Geneva.

She is survived by her 3 daughters: Rebecca, Julie (Randy Long), Jennifer. Her granddaughter Alyssa Long. Her beloved canine companion Sara. Her sister Linda Beeman Stevens (Bradley) of Florida, brother Edward Beeman (Linda) of Saybrook and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Barbara will be missed to the “moon and back” by her daughters and granddaughter.

Visitation: Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman Street, Geneva.

Funeral Service: Friday, December 2, 2022 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Shirley Frantz officiating.

Interment: Evergreen Cemetery

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Ashtabula County Saddle Horse Boosters at 8668 Stanhope Kelloggsville Rd. Williamsfield, Ohio 44093 In Honor of Barbara Crossley.

Arrangements will be provided by Walker Funeral Home.
