Betty Tanner, age 103, passed away January 13, 2022 in Geneva. She was born August 26, 1918 in Geneva to Northrup and Josephine (Pangburn) Cox. Betty married Cecil Tanner on October 20, 1945. Betty lived in Geneva for most of her life, with some years spent in Trumbull, Harpersfield and Madison. She enjoyed working retail and worked at the Ben Franklin Five and Dime and the Convenient Store in Geneva. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher. In her spare time, Betty liked to sew, complete different kinds of puzzles, like jigsaw, crossword and word search. Betty leaves behind a legacy of children and grandchildren that will miss her dearly. Survivors: Sons: James Tanner and Friend Sandy; Thomas Tanner and Richard Tanner and fiance Rita. Daughter: Janice (Keith) Austin; Grandchildren: Kelly; Erin; Thomas (Amy) Tanner; Benjamin; Richard; Jennifer; Shannon (D.R) Hill; Douglas Austin and Fiance Patricia; David (Nikki) Austin; Torry (Jon) Dry; Timothy (Berenda) Pavlakovich. Great Grandchildren: Christian, Marilyn; Curtis; Heather; Camrynn; Cole; Evan; Ryley; James; Karli and husband Jake; Chris; Alyssa; Derek; Samantha; James; Tanya; John and Shane. Great-Great-Grandchildren: Ashley; Jessica; Nathan; Kahlon and Skyler. Preceded by: Husband: Cecil Tanner; 1st Husband: Elmer Johnson; Daughter: Charleen Pavlakovich; Grandsons: Todd & Jimmy Joe Tanner; Parents. Visitation: Thursday January 20, 2022 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
