OBITUARIES

1954 ~ 2022

Cathleen “Cat” Cosgrove Lilly, age 68, passed away 07/09/2022 at Hillcrest Hospital in Cleveland. She was the daughter of Robert A. Cosgrove and Patricia Hertia.

Cathy attended school in Twinsburg but spent most of her adult life in the Geneva area. In recent years, she attended Kent State University, Ashtabula Campus and was on the Dean’s List five times. Currently she was a staff writer for the “Voice” magazine.

Cathy was a gifted musician and performed with many local groups including The Blues Project. She loved flowers and spent many happy hours working in her flower gardens. She was an animal lover and over the years fostered many dogs who needed homes.

She is survived by her daughter Trisha Lilly, a brother, Robert C. Cosgrove, an aunt Corrine Webb, several cousins and her step-mother Connie Cosgrove. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

Visitation will be Friday, 7/15/2022, from 2-4:30 PM at Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St. in Geneva. Funeral at 4:30 PM with Pastor Randy May of Geneva United Methodist Church officiating.

A Celebration of Life with many of her former musicians will be announced later.
