Obituary For David Kenneth Cook
David Kenneth Cook, 87, of Punta Gorda, FL, died February 18, 2018 after a long battle with cancer. A Geneva resident almost his entire life. He was born on June 6, 1930, in Geneva, OH to Kenneth and Margaret (Smith) Cook.
Dave served in the Army during the Korean Conflict, was a member of the American Legion, George Call Post and member of the South Harpersfield United Methodist Church. He worked as a printer and enjoyed golf, reading, playing cards, and following Cleveland and Ohio State sports teams.
Dave is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty, 3 children: Brad (Brenda) Cook, Brian (Clare) Cook, and Dawn Schrank, 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, his sister Janet (Chris) Ogden and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Cook, his mother, Margaret Price, his stepfather, Charles Price, his 2 brothers, Eugene and James Cook, and his son-in-law, Ronald Schrank.
Celebration of Life Service : will be l0:00 am, March 24 at Harpersfield United Methodist Church, 224 Garford Road, Geneva, OH 44041 with Beverly Windle officiating, Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva. Military Honors by the Geneva VFW Post #6846 Color Guard will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Geneva

Arrangements are under the care of Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St. in Geneva.
