He was my grandpa, but I always called him Papa and Papi. He would always share stories about his time in the U.S. Navy with me. We would watch the Incredible Doctor Pol together and documentaries and movies based on real wars. Every morning, I would make him coffee and bring him a banana and a packet of cheddar & peanut butter crackers, those were his favorites, then we would sit and watch Fox 8 News. During baseball season, we would watch the Cleveland Indians together. I remember he told me that he liked the color purple many years ago while I was helping him out in the garden. He used to take me to work with him when he worked at Courtyard Apartments, we would go out to Mcdonald's, Apple Bee's Friendly's, or sometimes Denny's for breakfast and lunch, and then we would come home and I would help him tend to the garden and lawn. When I was little, he would let me ride on his lap while he mowed the lawn.
