OBITUARIES

Dorothy A. (Steele) Hemmi, age 78, passed away February 24, 2023 at Saybrook Landing. She was born in Geneva on January 8, 1945 to Frederick and Jane (Barrow) Steele. Dorothy married the love of her life, Charles on August 14, 1964.

Dorothy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her family meant everything to her. She loved animals and had 3 horses and 8 cats. Dorothy would clean the stalls of the horses 4 times a day to make sure they were clean, and she would blow kisses to the horses and they would respond back to her. She would read her Bible every day and watch Christian programs early in the morning.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick W., Jane L. (Barrow) Steele and daughters, Kimberly A., Robin L., and LeeAnn. Brother: Bill Steele

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Charles, Sons, Brian, Mark and Sean. Grandsons Jacob, Justin, Christian, Tyler and Seth.

A private graveside service was held on February 27, 2023 at Evergreen Cemetery with Cora Walker officiating.

Walker Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements of Dorothy.
