Elbert H. Woodworth 1924 - 2020
Elbert H. Woodworth, age 96, passed December 2, 2020 in Willoughby. Born February 6, 1924 to Charles and Ida (Knox) Woodworth. Elbert was a conductor for the railroad, working for NY Central, Penn Central and Amtrak. He was also the owner of E. H. Woodworth Drilling. Elbert served in the U.S. Navy, World War II Pacific.
Elbert read his bible every day and was an Elder and a Deacon for the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Ashtabula. He was an outdoor person and liked fishing and gardening and if you couldn’t find him, he was on his John Deere Tractor.
Survivors: Children: David Woodworth and Janet Speros; 4 Grandchildren: Ben (Cara) Speros; Carolyn “Carey”(Stephen) Baughman; Jeremy (Koren) Woodworth; and Alison (Brian) Joyce; 6 Great Grandchildren
Preceded by: Wife: Marian; Siblings: William; Florence Inman; and Harriet Rindfleisch
Visitation will be Monday, December 7, 2020 from 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM with Funeral Service immediately following with Rev. Rhonda Lawrence officiating.
Interment: Saybrook Cemetery, Ashtabula Oh
Geneva VFW Post #6846 will be rendering Military Honors.
