OBITUARIES

Ellen J Lang, age 95, passed away November 23, 2023 in Saybrook. Born January 1, 1928 in South Fork, PA, she was a daughter of George and Katherine (Glecken) Poponak. Ellen worked for Bailey Meters Co. in Cleveland. She married the love of her life, Erwin “Erv” Lang on July 5, 1947 in Cleveland. Ellen was a former member of Grace Lutheran Church in Thompson and enjoyed reading the Bible and singing in the choir. She also liked canning, gardening and loved dogs.

Survivors: Children: Lynn (Donald) Frank and Jacqueline B. Lang; Grandchildren: David (Stephanie) Frank and Daniel (Sara) Frank; Great-Grandchildren: Jaxon, Alyce and Jordan; several nieces and nephews.

Preceded: Husband: Erwin; Siblings: Frank and Charles Poponak; Henry Glacken; Pauline Swansboro and Roseanne “Toots” Yoblonsky.

Visitation: November 30, 2023 from 6:30 - 7:30 PM at Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St., Geneva

Interment: Crown Hill Cemetery
