OBITUARIES

Eric D. Oplinger, born November 20, 1972, lost his two year battle with cancer on December 16, 2017. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Charles E. Oplinger of Jefferson, Ohio and J. Lynn Oplinger of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

He lived in the Geneva area most of his life. Graduated from Geneva High School in 1991, Kent State University in 1999 with a BA in Finance. He had been employed at Lakeland college just prior to his death, self employed in building, remodeling and rental properties. He loved family, outdoor activities with his daughter, exercising, and relaxing evenings around a fire with friends. He was a black belt, member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and Member of Geneva United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Gwendalyn, father Rev. Charles Oplinger (Jeanne), sister Lesley Woodruff (Tim), nephew - Iam, nieces Kate and Sara, aunt Sherry Marin and Karlene Bonnay, companion Sherri Carroll, and several cousins.

Preceded by his mother J. Lynn.

Services Thursday at Geneva United Methodist Church, 89 S. Broadway, Geneva, OH at 1:00 PM.
