OBITUARIES

Ethel Bates, age 98, passed away May 15, 2022 at her home in Geneva. Born February 1, 1924 in Ashtabula, she was a daughter of Jay & Lottie (White) Watts. Ethel married Edward Bates May 3, 1944 in Geneva. She worked in the packing room at Champion Hardware. Ethel was a member of the Starliners Square Dance Club in Geneva, and enjoyed camping.

Survivors: Children: Gary (Darlene) of Tyler, TX; Darlene (Cecil) Walton of Geneva; Grandchildren: Lloyd Walton; Deanna Greenwood, Christel Pardue and Jeffrey Bates; 13 Great Grandchildren and 24 Great Great Grandchildren.

Calling Hours: May 19, 2022 at Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St, Geneva from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM.

Funeral Service will follow with Pastor Randy May of Geneva First United Methodist Church officiating.

Interment: Trumbull Cemetery
