Obituary For Frank Arthur Schwentker

Frank A. Schwentker, 87, went to be with the Lord on September 27, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 31, 1936 to Frank and Mary (Shreve) Schwentker in their Mechanicsville home. He was drafted into the US Army in 1960. He married Joan Clark of Dorset on September 1, 1962 and spent a wonderful 62 years together.

Frank enjoyed cars and was a loan officer for various banks. He also owned S&S Auto Mart of Ashtabula and sold used cars. He retired in 1999 from Quality Buick in Madison.

Frank was a member of People’s church where he served as a head elder, song leader, greeter, visitation volunteer and his favorite job teaching the Sonshine class. He loved to share the salvation message.

He enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids. His other joys were reading the Bible, walking in the woods, feeding the birds, riding motorcycles, gardening (especially raising his prize-winning gladiolus), spending time with Sally dog and taking a good nap.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Joan; Children: Darlene Staniszewski; Lisa Jones and Laura (Robert) Lincoln; Grandchildren: Bradley Weisbarth; Justine (Brent) Matey; Corey Jones; Bethany (Daran) Woodin; Nicholas (Payton) Staniszewski; and Kyle Lincoln; one Great-Grandchild, Grant Matey.

I have known Frank since 1983 when he worked for farmers bank and then Society bank as a loan officer in indirect lending. I was finance manager and Frank and I became good friends. Frank would do anything he could for people as long as you were a straight shooter. There isn't anything but good that Frank stood for because of his relationship with Jesus Christ and I knew him in the Lord. Rest in peace my brother and we will meet again. My condolences to Frank's entire family. He's with the Lord now and that's a gift from God and his promise to those who believe and live their lives according to scriptures and Frank was one of God's chosen children and he was a witness to the testimony for as long as I knew him🙏

My deep condolences on the passing of your husband, your father and grandfather. I first met him forty years ago and have warm memories. I remember he was proud of his garden with beautiful flowers and also hot peppers that he had grown. I wish you all a lot of strength in this difficult time and hope that beautiful memories will comfort you. Greetings from Saskia de Vries - Krommenie - The Netherlands.
