Georgette B. Bates 1939-2018 Georgette B. Bates, Geneva, age 78, passed away June 22, 2018 at U.H. Geauga. Born on Wednesday, July 12, 1939 in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, she was the daughter of Rene A. & Merle (Smith) Fortin.

Georgette had previously worked as a bartender at Swallows, Geneva Inn, Dels Place and Water Street. She was also the previous chaplain for the Geneva V.F.W. and a member of Geneva F.O.E. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren, her home, sewing, making dolls & angels, and loved her children and grandchildren.

Bates, Sanford, Fla; Step-Children: Vicky (Pat) Burns, Jefferson; Cindy Kemmer, Jefferson; Steve (Pam) Mihely, Jefferson. Several Grandchildren; Sister: Rene (John) Burry, Concord; Boyfriend: Skip Lane Craver.

Calling Hours: 2-4:00 PM & 7-8:30 PM, Friday, June 29, 2018 at Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St., Geneva. At 8:30 PM Geneva VFW Ladies Auxillary Honor Guard, and Geneva F.O.E. Services.

Interment: Private Family Graveside at Eagleville Cemetery.
