Gwendolyn “Gwen” E. Garee 1928 - 2020

Gwendolyn “Gwen” Garee, age 91, passed away at Geneva Village on May 23, 2020. She was born on July 27, 1928 to Charles & Emma (Boyer) Lerch in York, PA. Gwendolyn moved to Ohio in 1992 and worked as an assembler at Perfection Corp. for 25 years.

Gwen married Isaac “Bill” Garee on December 20, 1946. She enjoyed the Cleveland Indians and playing BINGO at the Geneva Senior Center.

Survivors include her Daughter: Donna (George) Poe of Geneva; Son-In-Law: Andrew Taylor of Arizona; Grandchildren: Woodrow Utter of Arizona; Scott (Lisa Duff) Utter of Geneva; Marie (Gary Jones) Taylor of Arizona; Toby Taylor and Tyrone Taylor of Arizona; Great Grandchildren: Clay Utter; Natalie Utter; Christian Duff; Kaylee Duff; Allison (Christina) Taylor; Heather Taylor; Cam Taylor; Brandon Taylor; Gary Taylor; Carter Taylor; Harley Taylor; Scarlet; Xavier, Aholari; Alexia and Josiah; Many wonderful nieces and nephews; Siblings: Shelby Adams and June Lerch of PA. Best Friend of many years; Rose Ortiz of Ashtabula and the Geneva Senior Group.

Preceded in death by her Husband: Isaac; Daughter: Judith Taylor; Brothers: Paul and Melvin; Sisters: Geraldine: Virginia; Betty and Marilyn.

No services will be observed.

The family wishes to give a special thank you to the staff, nurses and aides at Geneva Village for their excellent and loving care.
