OBITUARIES

Hilda Ocasio, age 84, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2026 in Cleveland. Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of Jose and Amalia Gonzalez. Hilda married Isidoro Ocasio on April 5, 1992. She was a homemaker and loved dancing and listening to spanish music. Hilda enjoyed cooking, tending her flower garden and the Cleveland Indians. She also had a cat “Princess” that she loved.

Left to cherish her memory, are her husband, "Oscar”; children: Raul Rios, Luis Viruet and Victoria (Julie Vazquez) Ocasio; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Siblings: Daniel Gonzalez and Glady Gonzalez.

She was preceded by siblings: Miguel Gonzalez, Luis “Pancho” Manuel Gonzalez, Antonia Oquendo and Adrian Gonzalez.

Calling hours will be Monday, January 12, 2026 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman Street, Geneva.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Father Johnny Smith of Assumption Church officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Geneva.
