OBITUARIES

James Wamsley, age 90, passed away July 13, 2026 in Geneva. Born in Upshire County, WV on April 15,1936, he was a son of Ray and Dolly (Koon) Wamsley. James was a tool maker for Reliance Electric and he also worked for Penco and Molded Fiberglass. James married the love of his life, Kay Rose, in 1962 and together they raised four children. He loved spending time with his family, golfing, playing poker, deer hunting in WV, fishing, bowling and working in the yard. He liked to watch all sports, but especially liked the WV Mountaineer’s college football and the Cavaliers.

Left to cherish his memory, are his beloved wife, Kay; Children: Tammy (Jeff) Shahan; Carla (Carmen) Pellegrino; Anita Wamsley and Tricia (Danny) Maydak; 8 Grandchildren: Jeffrey; Jamie; Erin; Tori; Chris; Matthew; Raleigh and Luke; 7 Great Grandchildren: Kaitlyn; Maddison; Aiden; Justin; Adalynn; Marleigh and Kolson; Siblings: Thomas and Douglas Wamsley and Arawana Tenney.

He was preceded by his parents and 10 siblings.

Visitation: Friday, July 17, 2026 at Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St., Geneva from 11:00 AM - 12:00 Noon.

Funeral Service following with Rev Michael Cole of The United Church officiating.

Interment: Evergreen Cemetery, Geneva

Military honors will be performed by Ashtabula County Colorguard.
