Obituary For Janet Elizabeth Barbian

Janet E. Barbian 1936 - 2020

Janet E. Barbian, age 83, passed away July 19, 2020 at her home in Ashtabula. Born August 26, 1936 to “Jack” & Pauline (Darrow) Thomas in Geneva, Ohio. Janet married Robert Barbian February 23, 1957 in Geneva. She lived most of her life in Geneva and was a member of the Geneva United Methodist Church. Janet had a few jobs, one of which was the office manager for Dr. Huang, a proof-reader for the Star Beacon and the Secretary for the Methodist Church.

Janet enjoyed many things in life with her grandchildren being what she enjoyed the most. She liked bird watching, crossword puzzles, reading, dancing, cars, bowling in the “Banana Splits” League and she helped her husband with Photography.

Survivors: Children: Todd (Lisa) Barbian of Ashtabula; Christopher (Charisse) Barbian of Harpersfield Township. Grandchildren: Austin, Alec; Carissa and Christian.

Preceded by: Husband: Robert Barbian; Brother: John Thomas; Parents; Cousin: Richard “Dick” Whaley.

A Private Graveside service will be held at a later date with Interment at Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva.

Arrangements are under the care of Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St. in Geneva.
