Obituary For Jason Mark Tinney
Jason Mark Tinney, age 41, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 2nd, 2019 at Geneva hospital. Jason, a lifetime resident of Geneva, Ohio was born August 15th, 1978 to Janet and David Tinney. He was a lifelong Mason, graduating from Geneva High School through the Ashtabula County vocational school in 1997 and most recently worked as a bricklayer foreman for S&A Construction. If you are driving around Northeast Ohio chances are you will see something he built by hand.
Jason was an avid Cleveland sports fan (especially the Cleveland Browns) and would rarely be seen without a sports hat. He loved watching sports, playing fantasy football, cooking on his grill and spending time with friends and family.
Jason is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 19 years, Sabrina Tinney; his son Jacob Tinney; daughter Leann Tinney; granddaughter Acelynn Tinney; father David Tinney; brother Brian (Jennie) Tinney as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Janet Tinney in 2018.
Calling hours will be 11am-1pm Monday, September 9th at Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman Street, Geneva, Ohio with the Rev. Steven Maugh officiating and funeral immediately following with burial at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
We are asking that everybody wear their favorite Cleveland Browns attire as Jason wouldn’t have it any other way. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to cover expenses.
Following burial there will be a food gathering at Faith Community Church, 5835 State Route 166 West, Rock Creek, OH.
