(StepMom Mary Schneider). She married James Dalin, December 17, 1958 in North Carolina. They raised their three children, Debra (Tony) Abruzzino, James Dalin Jr. and Barbara (Edward) Kuonen, in their home in Saybrook Township that they shared until Jim’s passing in 2014. She was also preceded in death by her son, her sister Marilyn and her parents.
She is survived by her two daughters, grandchildren Kimberly (James) Carpenter, James (Carrie) Dalin, Christine (Shaun) Spade, Karen (Kevin) Dudgeon, Tony (Allyson) Abruzzino, Miranda (Scott) Barbash, Sonya Sloan, twenty great-grandchildren, a sister Bernice Newbury, brother Harvey Schneider, Sandra Szekely, and several nieces and nephews. Karen attended Jefferson High School and Lakeland Community College and attended services at Shrine of the Healing Masters. She was a volunteer and a clown for Hospice. Karen and Jim were part owners of Buglers Inn for 10 ½ years. She wrote and published a book “Here and There”. Karen was very proud of this accomplishment. She loved gardening, farming, walking, nature, reading, writing and was always learning and gave the best massages. Mostly she loved spending time with family and friends. She believed in love, tolerance and that we are all one.
We would like to thank the good people who cared for Karen through her illness.
There will be no services.
Arrangements are under the care of Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St. in Geneva.
