Obituary For Kathleen M Hagler

Kathy M. Hagler 72 of Geneva, went home to be with her Lord, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, May 8, 2025 in Euclid. She was the daughter of the late Wilbur H. and Ann P. (Josselyn) Wills. Kathy was born in Cleveland on April 2, 1953.

Her love for her Lord would find Kathy spreading the “Good News of God” every where she went. An amazing prayer warrior – any time, any place, any where. Kathy wanted to be sure you knew Jesus, how He paid for our sins on the cross, rose from the dead, and if you believed in your heart and confessed with your mouth, and asked Jesus to be your Lord and Savior—you were saved and going to Heaven. (Hell was meant for the devil/satan – not you).

Kathy had a Nursing Home Ministry; a Homeless Shelter Ministry; and had several ministries in her home. You could find Kathy at the Living Waters Coffee House, or ministering at the Gables in Madison, or writing those in her Jail House Ministry, or encouraging others, as their pen pal. ---just to name a few. She was also involved in the Ashtabula Food Pantry and the Blue Star Mothers.

Kathy attended Madison High School. She was a nurses aid at New Avenue, an assisted living, in Perry. To take a break… riding her bike, working out, going to the beach, and having her dog, Samuel, by her side.

Surviving are the love of her life--- her children: Anna Manning of Geneva; Grace (Harrison) Perkins, of Saybrook Twp., Joshua (Stacey) Abretski of Salem; and Jessie (Matt) Raper of Austinburg. Father of the children, Joseph Abretski.

Other loves of her life: Grandchildren: Marcio (Keihle) Cruz; Romeo (Jessie) Cruz; Christian Gawrys; Heaven Manning; Hailie Rich; Aiden Perkins; Jaylee Perkins; Gavin Abretski; Kaleb Maldonado; Asher Abretski; Kayden Santiago; Wyatt Hollis; Alyssa Raper; Josie Raper; and Maggie Raper.

Great Grandchildren: Caden; Colson; Enzo ; Elias; Aven Cruz, Liliah and Avery Cruz; and Penelope Minarik.

Sisters & Brothers: Patsy (Jim) Burkhart of Largo, Florida; Sharon Brown of Madison; Bill (Carol) Wills of Geneva; Maryjo Moss of Madison; Rose Hepker of Mentor; Lily (Dan) Bissell of Mentor.

Preceded by Husband, George R. Hagler; Great Grandson, Maddex Cruz; Brother, Joseph Wills; and her parents.

Visitation Friday, May 16th from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman Street, Geneva, OH. Celebration of Life to follow with Pastor Doug DeMar and Pastor Ben DeMar of the Salem Bible Church will be officiating.

In her honor, donations may be made to the family.

I thank God. Kathy was my sister. She was such a beautiful woman inside and out. Her example of love and mercy will forever challenge me to follow her path towards heaven. We had so many wonderful times together with her especially our trip to Rhode Island. She loved Christmas so much she kept Christmas in her home and heart all year long. Now Kathy has Christmas itself in heaven. Love you always

I can't even explain how special of a person. My mother was. She was my best friend, my father, and my mother. This world was a special place because she was in it . When she was on her sick bed, all she did was speak about Jesus, sang song's and had prayer. She was so grateful to everyone who helped her. She wasn't sick for long, only 2 months and 5 days, but it was horrendous pain. She didn't complainthough .She kept her eyes on Jesus her heart's desire was to be out doing Gods work. Not for people to be waiting on her,but for her to be helping others.Love is action and I don't know anyone who showed that kind of love besides her. We were truly blessed having her as a mother. Mama you will be so missed. ❤️
