Obituary For Lawrence Betts

Lawrence “Larry” E. Betts, 86, passed June 21, 2024 in Geneva. Born in Andover on November 26, 1937, he was a son of Harold and Mary Jean (Williams) Betts. Larry was a batch plant supervisor for RW Sidley, and he had worked for Reliance Corp. and owned Larry’s Texaco.

Larry loved to spend time with his family and he could fix anything. Some of his favorite things were tinkering at the barn on Bennett Road, Nascar, travel, gardening and riding motorcycles.

Left to cherish his memory, are his wife: Karen; Children: Pamela (Robert) Bennett of Mentor; Dianne Larkins of Saybrook; Michael (Stephanie Stewart) of Geneva; Janet (John) Reed of Colorado; Dawn (Joe) Pallutch of N. Kingsville; Albert (Amy) Jordan of Englewood, FL and Richard (Jessica) Jordan of Greensburg, PA; 19+ Grandchildren and 19+ Great Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren; Siblings: Carol Dillon of Andover; Charles (Jane) Betts of Tennessee; and Duane (Linda) Betts of Texas.

Preceding him in death are sons, Larry E. Betts Jr. and David Jones; Parents; and ex-wife Dorothy Turner Betts.

Larry's family will be welcoming friends and relatives on July 5, 2024 at Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St, Geneva from 5:00 – 8:00 PM

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his memory be made to Ashtabula APL, 5970 Green Road, Ashtabula, OH

    larry was a great guy who touched the hearts of all who met him. I wish I could of known him longer. He was always ready to help out about anything. His memory will live long in the hearts of the people that knew him. Much love and prayers to the family. God Bless you Larry.
