Lawrence E. Branek Jr. 1947 ~ 2021

Lawrence E. Branek Jr., age 73, passed 01/12/2021 at home, due to complications of Huntington’s Disease. Born in Painesville on 01/16/1947, he was the son of Lawrence Sr. and Betty (Warner) Branek.

Larry was an Army Veteran having served in Vietnam. He served as a law enforcement officer for 22 years. Places he served were Geneva City, Geneva-On-the-Lake, and Ashtabula County Sheriffs Department. He was owner of Navajo Corner/Southwest Living for 14 years, located in Erie, PA.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Sandra; three children, Kristie Branek and Amy Ferrebee of Geneva, and Michael (Lisa) Carboni of Durham, NC. Five grandchildren: Ashleigh (Eddie) Ferrebee, Columbus; Lauren (John) Ferrebee, Lexington, KY; Anthony (Ashley) Ferrebee, Georgetown, KY; Jillian and Jackson Carboni, Durham, NC. One great-grandson, Easton Ferrebee, Georgetown, KY and 2 great-grandchildren expected this summer. Brother, Donald (Susan) Branek, Dayton; Cindy (Ted) Ruck, Geneva; and Steven (Tracy) Ruck of Willoughby.

Preceded in death by his Parents; Sister: Susan Hillyer; Brother: Steve Branek. A private family service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the care of Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St. in Geneva.
