Obituary For Leland Alexander

Leland “Jack” Alexander, age 87 of Geneva went home to be with the Lord on October 24, 2025 at home in the arms of his daughter. He was born July 10, 1938 to Leslie & Estella Alexander in Farmdale, OH. He was married to Eileen O. Firestone for 58 years.

He proudly served in the US Navy as a General Radioman aboard USS Princeton. He served the Lord in ministry for many years and during his later years attended the Free Pentecostal Church of Geneva. Truly a man of God and was loved by many whose lives he touched.

“Jack” worked at True Temper in Geneva for 22 years and had worked at Parker Hannifin in Eastlake. He retired from Grand River Academy as head of maintenance. He loved spending time with his family, playing guitar, gardening, wood working and duck hunting. He was even a farmer raising cattle.

Survivors include his children: Kim Alexander Schweitzer (Roger Riffe) of North Kingsville, and Jeff Alexander (Laura) of Cedar Park, TX; Grandchildren: Ricky, Charlie and Zachary Schweitzer, Taylor and Ayden Alexander; and his sister: Ina Marie Hartin (John) of Oregon, and his faithful canine companion, Fuzzy.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, granddaughter, Melissa Schweitzer, his parents and sister, Patricia Bertone.

Visitation: October 29,2025 at Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St. Geneva from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM.

Graveside service will follow at Evergreen Cemetery with Rev Andrew McGee of the Free Pentecostal Church officiating..
