Lester “Chester” R. Hardy 1944 - 2020

Lester “Chester” R. Hardy, age 75, of Rock Creek, passed away Thursday, January 2nd at UH Hospital in Cleveland. He was born on May 15, 1944 in Ravenna, Ohio, to Clarence N. & Lucille (Frederick) Hardy. He married Mary L. Woodworth on August 21, 1965 in Rock Creek, Ohio. Lester was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Lester was a self-employed general contractor. He was a member of the NRA and the Ashtabula F.O.E. He enjoyed playing poker, puzzles, target shooting, hunting, country music and was a fan of the San Francisco 49ers.

To cherish his memory is his loving wife Mary of 54 years; Children: Samantha (Frank) Maynard of Geneva, Charles (Jennifer) Hardy of Rock Creek and James Woodworth of Murfreesboro, TN; ten Grandchildren; 12 Great-Grandchildren; and a brother Stephen Hardy of Ashtabula.

Preceding him in death are his son Michael, brother James, an infant sister and his parents.

Visitation on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 4-7 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home. 828 Sherman St., Geneva. Military Honors will be performed by the Geneva V.F.W. Post #6486 Color Guard.
