Loretta W. Smith 1937 ~ 2021

Loretta W. Smith, age 83, passed away Friday, June 4, 2021 in Cleveland. Born June 14, 1937 in Markleton, PA, a daughter of William & Olive (Williams) Peters, Sr. Loretta lived most of her life in Geneva and was a WAC in the U.S. Army. She was a member of Geneva American Legion, George Call Post #124.

Loretta worked at Geneva Health Care in managed care, Giant Eagle and was a volunteer with the food pantry. She was a puzzle master who also enjoyed crocheting. Loretta was a member of the Geneva Church of Christ.

Survivors: Children: Robin Smith; Debbie (Leroy) Caranci, all of Geneva; Clyde (Denise DiFabio) Thomas of MN; Grandchildren: Christopher Smith; Edward J. Colon; Ashley Caranci all of Geneva; Donatella Thomas of MN; 3 Great Grandchildren; Siblings: JoAnn Brestowski and William O. (Betty) Peters II of Geneva; Numerous nieces and nephews.

Calling Hours: Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St., Geneva from 6:00-8:00 PM.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Friday, June 11, 2021 at Walker Funeral Home, with Rev Paul Brunsman officiating. Interment: Mt Pleasant Cemetery, Geneva following the funeral service with Madison American Legion Community Funeral Team rendering honors.
