OBITUARIES

Nada Kozjek, age 86 of Geneva, passed away on Sunday August 28, 2022 at the David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland. She was born in Yugoslavia on July 8, 1936 to Rudolf & Maria (Potocnik) Zorman. Nada married Andrew Kozjek on July 7, 1956 in Cleveland and they were blessed with over 40 years together before his passing in 1997.

Nada was a homemaker, a former member of the Slovenska Pristava, a former parishioner of Assumption Catholic Church and recently attended New Life Assembly of God in Geneva. She enjoyed cooking, baking, bowling, bird watching, her flower beds, playing bocce ball, going to flea markets and garage sales. However, her biggest joy was spending time with her family,

Survivors include her children Ann (John) Vidmar of Rock Creek, Andrew (Diane) Kozjek of Kirtland, Peter Kozjek of Geneva, and Bernadette Kozjek of Geneva. She is also survived by her grandchildren Nick Kozjek, Ashley Kozjek, Kelsey (Jimmy) Pirro, Peter (Kara) Vidmar, Kelly (Richard) Willman; great-grandchildren Dakota Dale & Olivia Harper Willman, Wesley & Samuel Vidmar; brother Siegfried Besser of Chesterland, and sisters Mila Bell of Florida and Erika Gerber of Willowick.

She was preceded by her husband Andrew; her infant brother Ivan; brother Frank Miklivcic; sister Barbara Miklivcic; and her parents.

Graveside service will be held at Harpersfield Cemetery on Thursday, September 8th at 9:15am with Fr. Daniel Finnerty & Pastor Harry Pishcura officiating. A Celebration of Life will be held afterwards from 10-11:30am at New Life Assembly of God, 1961 Lafevre Rd, in Geneva.
