OBITUARIES

Pastor Shirley W. (Schwentker) Deemer, age 87, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 22, 2022. Born on December 2, 1934, she was the daughter of Frank and Mary Schwentker. She was married to Glenn Deemer Jr. Pastor Shirley lived in Geneva most of her life and during her years of ministry, she pastored the North Bloomfield Methodist Church, Colebrook Methodist Church, Grand Valley Church of the Nazarene in Orwell, Mentor Church of the Nazarene and Geneva Church of the Nazarene. She also filled in for several different churches. She was a member of the Jefferson Church of the Nazarene. Pastor Shirley enjoyed sharing the gospel, spending time with family, baking, reading and occasionally going to auctions. Survivors include: Children: Mary (Richard) Meier; Julia Evola (Chris); Glenn (Robin) Deemer; Grandchildren: Taylore Evola (Brian); Chris (Ariel) Wade; Megan (Derrick) Haas; Steve (Mandi) Meier; Rachael (Joel) Fanti; Marissa DeGennaro; Maranda DeGennaro (Karl); Jeremiah Westmoreland; Great Grandchildren: Leah, Paisley; Weston; Tiegan; Brinley; Anna Grace; Taylynn; Hadley; Lane; Jaden; Greyson and Karson; Brother: Frank (Joan) Schwentker. Preceded in death: Glenn Deemer Jr. (Husband); Pauline Waid (Sister) Calling hours are Thursday January 27, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 PM, Walker Funeral Home (828 Sherman St., Geneva) and also on Friday January 28, 2022 from 10:00-11:00 AM at the Jefferson Church of the Nazarene (55 E.
