OBITUARIES

Richard "Rick" A. Schindler, age 74, of Geneva-on-the-Lake, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2019 at U.H. Geneva. Born October 22, 1944 in Cleveland, the son of Norman and Antoinette (Vargo) Schindler.

Rick loved God and his family. Rick was an active member of A.A. where he was known as "Rick the Alcoholic," celebrating almost 31 years of sobriety. He was always there to lend a helping hand whether it be for an A.A. member or someone in need of advice.

He was an avid golfer, enjoyed watching the Golf channel, his Cleveland teams, and was quick witted with his humor. Rick worked as a Tool & Die Maker for G.E. for many years, and worked Home Alternatives before his retirement.

Survived by: Children: Tracy (John) Zanzig; Teri; Sarah Schindler all of Geneva; Norman (Kelly) Schindler of Brewster, Ohio. Grandchildren: Jennifer; Kristina; Jessica; Katie; Jeffrey; Kyle; Lillian and Isaac. 9 Great Grandchildren; Sister: Bobbie Hughes, of Cleveland.

Calling Hours: 2-3:00 P.M. Saturday, April 27 at Geneva Church of Christ, 1007 S. Broadway, Geneva; Memorial Service at 3:00 P.M. with Rev. Keith Winn officiating.
