OBITUARIES

Robert E. Pittenger, 76 of Geneva Township, passed away June 7, 2018, at the David Simpson Hospice House in Euclid, Ohio. Born October 8, 1941, in Easton, Pa, to Edward and Emma (Haas) Pittenger, he married Jo Ann G. Pittenger (Valenza) on December 2, 1961 in Pittsburgh, Pa.

He was an auto mechanic and retired as an auto mechanic's instructor from the Ashtabula County Vocational School in Jefferson, Ohio. He was the best husband & Dad. He liked hot rods (NHRA & NASCAR), model railroading and sitting on white sandy beaches.

Survivors are daughter Debra S. Pittenger of Breckenridge, CO and son Michael E. Pittenger of Painesville, OH: five nieces and nephews, Suzanne, Mike, Mychaelane, Robert and Shaun: four great nieces and nephews: and in-laws Robert and Pat Park of Geneva and Ron and Cathy Valenza of Abington, VA.

He was preceded in death by his wife on November 24, 2012.

A gathering will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2018, at Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St., Geneva. This will be casual attire - Hawaiian shirts or hot rod tees, no suits please.
