OBITUARIES

Susan Marie Furlan of Geneva, Ohio passed peacefully on November 5th, 2022. Susan was born on December 11, 1951 and grew up in Willowick, Ohio with her four siblings, the daughter of Joseph L. and Dorothy K. Popp.

Susan was a beloved mother and grandmother who dedicated her life’s work to the vocation of motherhood. She lived a life of service to others and was a committed member of the Third Order Franciscan fraternity. Susan will be remembered for her kindness, devotion to our Lord, and legacy of quiet prayer and duty in the home done in accord with the will of God and for the love of God.

Susan is preceded in death by her parents Joseph L. Popp Sr. and Dorothy K. Popp, brother Joseph L. Popp, Jr. and son John Michael Furlan. She is survived by her sons Timothy (Elise) Furlan and Joseph (Makilah) Furlan, granddaughter Mariam Furlan, and sisters Barbara (David) McCrery, Laura (Mark) Sergeant, and Eileen Manley.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 12th, at 10:00 AM at Holy Resurrection Byzantine Catholic Parish, 532 Lloyd Road, Euclid, OH 44132, followed by the Office of Christian Burial with Divine Liturgy at 11:00 AM. Internment Service following Mass at Lake View Cemetery, 12316 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44106.
