Obituary For Theodore Allen Nichols
Theodore Allen Nichols, age 86, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2025 at the home of his niece, Traci Dunbar. He was born on November 3, 1938, to the late Theodore A. and Myrtle R. (Lloyd) Nichols in Geneva, Ohio. Theodore was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Robert Lloyd, and a sister, Janet Pinkerton. He leaves behind his beloved brother, Richard (LaDonna) Nichols of Dorset, Ohio. Theodore never married or had children of his own, but had especially strong and close relationships with his nieces: Brenda (Eugene) Unsinger of Dorset, Ohio, Kimberly (William) Cuthbertson of Fort Myers, Florida, and Traci Dunbar (Brad Eastlake) of Andover, Ohio, and his cousin Ronald (Pamela) Lloyd of Geneva, Ohio. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews across the country, along with a number of great-nieces and nephews who also brought joy to his life.
Theodore, known as Ted to friends and family, graduated from Spencer High School in 1957 before attending Kent State. His career was marked by hard work and dedication, with stints at Molded Fiberglass, True Temper, and eventually retiring from Avery Dennison.
Ted was passionate about his hobbies, and he spent countless hours on the bowling lanes, where he achieved an impressive eight 300-point games, a testament to his skill and love for the sport. A lifelong golfer, he enjoyed hitting the links and competing in tournaments. He was an avid motorcyclist, often seen enjoying the open road.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Interment: Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Geneva
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to either county cat rescues, “Maddox and Friends” or “Winky Cats Ashtabula,” in Theodore's memory. Since his retirement, Ted has spent a lot of time and resources making sure his numerous neighborhood cats were well taken care of.
