OBITUARIES

Veneranda Aponte, age 77, passed away July 7, 2020 in Chardon, Ohio. She was born November 14, 1942 in Cayey, Puerto Rico to Dionicio and Ramona (Rivera) Suarez. She was a homemaker and lived in the Geneva area for over 30 years. Vero had many interests including Bingo, Word Search, Arts & Crafts, Flower Gardens, Spanish Soap Operas, music & dancing, NASCAR and the Cleveland Indians.

Vero is survived by her Children: Jose Aponte and Linda Aponte of Geneva, Reama Viruet of Perry, James Viruet of Florida and Daniel Viruet of Ohio. Grandchildren: David Rodriquez and Orlando Rosario of Newark, NJ, Christian Santiago and Preston Ramirez of Geneva. Sister: Sonia Suarez of Cayey, PR.

Preceding her in death are her daughter Virginia Vasquez, a brother Mateo Suarez and her Parents.

Walk Through Visitation (facial masks and social distancing are required): July 13, 2020 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St., Geneva. A funeral service will be held at a future date.
