William E. "Bill" Cooper, age 99 of Geneva passed away October 2, 2018 in Geneva. He was born April 22, 1919 in Saint Joseph, Kentucky, to Joseph and Gertrude (Beavins) Cooper. Married Betty A. (Calhoun) August 1956 in Geneva. Worked at Lubrizol Corp., and served our country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Bill was also an avid fisherman and hunter; a nuisance trapper and member of the Trapper Assoc. and Ashtabula Co. Coonhunters Association. An Ohio State & Steelers sports fan, and raced stock cars at G-O-T-L car "77", also a member of the Geneva V.F.W.
Survived by: Wife Betty; Sons: Bob (Norma) Cooper, of Geneva; David (Sandi Ryder) Cooper, of Painesville: Several Grand; Great Grand & Great Great Grandchildren. Siblings: Jack (Betty) Cooper, of Cambridge; Jeannie Bidlack, of Garrettsville.
Preceded by: Parents; Siblings: Francis, Paul, Mary & Dorothy.
Calling Hours: Friday, Oct. 5, 2018 from 11 am-1pm followed by funeral at Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St., Geneva.
Interment: Evergreen Cemetery with Military Honors performed by the Geneva VFW Post #6846 Colorguard.
